Bio

Deb has been the IHSA Regional President since 2008, where her duties include: approval of all show dates, facilities and judges for the region; keeping all member colleges informed of all rules, requirements and changes; Chairperson of the Regional Standards and Ethics Committee; collects all regional monies and paperwork, and reviews; full responsibility for running the Regional Championship show; ran the 2013 IHSA Zone finals - including picking 24 horses form the tri-state area to ship in for the competition; horse draw and competition steward at the 2013 IHSA National Finals; Chairperson of the IHSA National Community Service Committee.

Since 1999, Deb has been the Barn Manager and Head instructor at Country Farms Equestrian Center in Medford, NY, where her duties include: provide managerial oversight of the equine program, which includes 20 lesson horses and five instructors; responsible for all shows and clinics at the facility; manages barn, facilities, horse care and scheduling; coordinator/instructor of Country Farms IEA high school and Middle School teams, coaching students to the regional, zone and national championships; teaches five days a week, beginner though advanced students.

Along with coaching the Suffolk CCC Equestrian Team, Deb also teaches and coordinates the Suffolk CCC equestrian credited physical education classes, teaching beginners through advanced students, educating them in the theories of equitation and horse management.  As a coach, she organizes and runs yearly IHSA collegiate shows, organizes team lessons and clinics, and has coached numerous riders qualify for IHSA National, Zone and Regional Finals.  She is a USHJA Nationally Certified Instructor and has been riding, showing and teaching for over forty years.
