NJCAA Division III Softball All-Americans Announced
Suffolk Community College's Kaylin McDonald Receives NJCAA Division III All-American Accolades

Charlotte, North Carolina - Suffolk Community College sophomore outfielder and infielder Kaylin McDonald added to her postseason award arsenal, capturing 2024 NJCAA Division III Softball All-American First Team honors on Tuesday. McDonald is the Shark softball program's 16th All-American selection.
McDonald was one of the key pieces of a lethal Shark offense during the 2024 season that was in the top five in four offensive statistical categories, ranking tops in the country in slugging Percentage (.662) and second in batting average (.423), third in On Base Percentage (.489), and sixth in triples (23). The 2024 All-Region 15 First Team selection and National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-American finished the season tops on Suffolk Community College with 39 RBIs and four home runs, while her five triples were tied for first.
The Lindenhurst, New York native finished the season in the top 10 in two offensive categories, ranking fifth in Slugging Percentage (1.017) and 10th in on-Base Percentage (.586). She was also 11th in the nation with five triples and 14th with a .517 batting average.
McDonald was also second on the team with a 1.017 slugging percentage, a .517 batting average, 31 hits, and eight doubles. McDonald had nine multi-hit games, with two of them during two of the three games of the 2024 Region 15 Softball Championship, where she hit .429 (6-for-14) with five RBIs. She also belted a career-best five hits against Dutchess back on April 6th.
