NFCA Softball All-American Honors Announced
Suffolk Softball's Kaylin McDonald Receives NFCA All-American Accolades

Louisville, Kentucky - Suffolk Community College Sharks softball sophomore Kaylin McDonald has added her name to the list of illustrious players in the program's history. McDonald picked up National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-American honors, as announced by the organization on Friday afternoon, making it three NFCA All-Americans for the program over the past four seasons, with Suffolk joining teammate Jaden Thompson from last year, who was a two-time winner in 2021 and the 2023 season, and Daja Farmer from the 2019 season.
McDonald, a 2024 All-Region 15 First Team selection, was the major engine behind a Shark offense that was in the top five in four offensive statistical categories, ranking tops in the country in slugging Percentage (.662) and second in batting average (.423), third in On Base Percentage (.489), and sixth in triples (23). The Lindenhurt, New York native led the Sharks with 39 RBIs and four home runs while her five triples were tied for first on the squad.
McDonald was also second on the team with a 1.017 slugging percentage, a .517 batting average, 31 hits, and eight doubles. Her numbers also hit the charts nationally, ranking in the top 10 in two offensive statistical categories: fifth in Slugging Percentage (1.017) and 10th in on-Base Percentage (.586). She was also 11th in the nation with five triples and 14th with a .517 batting average.
