From 2006-2015, Rebecca coached and served as an administrator for local AAU teams on the island. In 2011, Rebecca landed her first high school assistant coaching job at Friends Academy. She spent three years there, helping build the team to their best record in those years, 17-2, finishing as Long Island Champions for back to back years (2013 and 2014). In 2014, Rebecca also traveled with 3 teams of high school aged players to Austria to compete in the United World Games, coaching the 13U girls team. In 2015, Rebecca joined the staff as an assistant at St. Joseph’s College - Long Island. She would spend 3 years there helping build a program. In her time there, Rebecca coached a number of record holders. She coached the current leading scorer in career points and also the current leader in career 3 point field goals made. Additionally, the current holder for career points scored holds the record for total rebounds in an individual season and per game, season field goal and free throw percentage, and total blocks in a season. Finally, during Rebecca’s time at St. Joseph’s, the team achieved and currently holds the record for most points scored in a game.

Outside of coaching, Rebecca has served in other administrative roles at AAU and NCAA events across the country, primarily Virginia and Chicago. At these events, Rebecca has worked to maintain certification and eligibility for event organizers and prospective student-athletes.

From 2018 until now, Rebecca has spent her time in a variety of other endeavors. She has coached back at the high school level, splitting her time between basketball and volleyball, while working in the public schools as a teacher. In addition, she has coached club volleyball.

Rebecca grew up on Long Island, enjoyed 5 years of high school basketball (4 Varsity), and graduated from Hofstra University with her Bachelors of Science in Physical Education in 2012. During her undergraduate time at Hofstra, Rebecca spent the 2010-2011 season working as a student-assistant with the women’s basketball team. In 2015, Rebecca graduated again from Hofstra, with a Masters of Science in Health Education. She currently resides in Merrick and teaches Pre-K Physical Education while spending her summers as a camp director.
