Bio

Coach Tim McCabe enters his ninth season on the staff and third season as the Head Coach for the Sharks.  He is the Defensive Coordinator for the team and is in charge of managing all aspects of the lacrosse program. 

In the past nine seasons the sharks have never been ranked outside the top 10 in the country, have made the National Tournament, and was ranked in the top 5 in the first year as head coach. We put a big focus on academics and had 9 Academic All-Region players last year alone with 3 making Academic All-American. We have also had multiple All-American honors and many players transfer to 4year NCAA D1, D2, and D3 schools. 

Tim played his college ball at Stony Brook under Coach John Espey where he was the anchor of their defensive unit.  During his high school days he played for Coach Kevin Huff at Smithtown High School.  He considers both men to be his mentors and tries to model his coaching style from things he learned under their guidance.

Tim and his wife Laura have three wonderful children; Shawn, Maggie and Allyson.
