Bio

Coach Pernal grew up dancing since she was three. She danced at Michelle Ferraro’s Dance USA and began competing at the age of ten.  At sixteen, she went on to teach at the studio and also teaches at other local dance studios.  She has won numerous awards both for her dancing and her choreography.  She was on varsity kick line at Newfield High School from her freshman to senior year, and was captain from sophomore to senior year. She received 3 MVP Awards and an Athlete of the Month Award in December 2014.

She attended Suffolk County Community College studying liberal arts and graduated in 2018. While at Suffolk, she was captain of the dance team for 3 years. She is a two-time MVP Award recipient for 2016 and 2017.  In 2018, she received the prestigous Eugene Farry Award.  Coach Nina was also our college Mascot for three years and set the standard for everything “Finn”.  She has been an assistant coach since graduating.
