Joe Kosina was named College Associate Director of Athletics in the summer of 2018, after spending six years as the Athletics Compliance Coordinator at Suffolk County Community College. In this role Joe will oversee the day to day operations of the athletic department and will continue all of his compliance responsibilities. Prior to his position as Athletics Compliance Coordinator, Joe served in a variety of other roles in the athletic department including: Intercollegiate and Intramurals Coordinator, college aide, student-athlete academic advisor and home game supervisor for all athletic events.  Joe also spent 10 years as the assistant baseball coach at Suffolk County Community College; from 1999-2001 and 2006-2010, 2012-2013.  During that ten year period the Suffolk County Community College Baseball Team went to three NJCAA World Series and compiled an overall record of 282-117. Joe who graduated from Deer Park High School is an alumnus of Suffolk County Community College and was a member of the baseball team in 1995 and 1996 he was a 1st Team All Region XV selection in 1996. Joe received his Master’s Degree in Sport Management from Ohio University in 2008. Joe is the Head Softball Coach at Suffolk, a position he accepted in the spring of 2015. In his 5 seasons as the Head Softball Coach, the team has qualified for four consecutive National Junior College Athletic Association World Series and he has won the last four Region XV Coach of the Year Awards.
