NJCAA DIII Women's Track and Field All-American Honors
Fowler Grabs 2023 NJCAA First-Team Track and Field All-American Honors; Keuler and Starzee Receive NJCAA Women's First-Team Field All-American Accolades
Charlotte, North Carolina - The 2023 NJCAA Division III Women's Track and Field All-American Teams were announced on Tuesday afternoon, and Suffolk Community College made a splash with freshman Malia Fowler capturing both All-American Track and Field First Team honors while sophomores Jamimee Starzee and Morgan Keuler grabbed All-American Field First Team accolades.
Fowler made a statement at the 2023 NJCAA Division III Women's Track and Field Championships in Utica, New York, capturing the National Championship in the Women's Heptathlon and 100-meter hurdles. Fowler won the Heptathon overall with 10 points taking first place in the 100-meter hurdles and 200 and 800 meters with times of 15.27, 27.53, and 2:49.59. She also won the National title in the individual 100 meters crossing the line with a time of 15.41.
Starzee and Keuler also joined Fowler as national champions in Javelin Throw and Shot Put. Starzee registered a top mark of 36.51 in the Javelin, while Keuler took home the number one spot with an 11.16 mark. All three competitors led the Sharks to a fourth-place finish at Nationals with 63 points.
